Summer LARP Campout

Every year Minnesota role-players get together for some live action role-playing and outdoor activities - volleyball, badminton, bocce, and burning food over an open flame. The brave set up tents and camp after the game, the rest take the short drive back to their home or a nearby hotel and return the next day. No previous knowledge or experience is needed, just a willingness to have fun.

When: 4:00 PM July 13th to 2:00 PM July 15th. The interactive games begin around 7 PM on Friday and Saturday.

Where: Blue Stem campsite, Crow-Hassan park in Hennepin County near Rogers, MN.

Cost: $12 per player for the weekend or $6 for one day + one night's game.

Friday: Night Train to Istanbul

Nothing could be more romantic and quite possibly deadly than a turn-of-the-century luxury train ride. You travel through Europe at a time of high political tension, and some say war is inevitable. Soon the Nineteenth Century will be only a memory, but this night the realms of the mortals and the undying collide with consequences that will be felt forever.

Join an esteemed cast of characters on the final leg of the Orient Express's journey east, traveling from Sofia to Istanbul. Romance, intrigue, wealth and power are all on board with you as you head to that jewel of the east! Known history and the dark imaginings of the gods mingle.

Saturday: Diplomacy on Luna

Life is swell on Luna in 1955! Luna is an economic powerhouse and melting pot of people from Earth and Luna. Atmospheric regeneration is nearly complete, and the hidden city of Zion has opened its doors. The Lunar Constitution nears ratification while teenagers and TV form a new subculture. Still, the threat of nuclear annihilation looms, and Space Dragon Karmadormo has destroyed much of the once-vibrant Undercity. Parents worry about their kids smoking Lunar Lichen and chewing Zoom Gum, but heroes like The Iron Sentinel and Liberty Belle keep the streets safe!

Join us in the fifties that should have been. History mixes with pulps, mysticism, and science fiction in a sequel to Designs on Luna and Dissent on Luna.
