Summer LARP Campout

Every year Minnesota role-players get together for some live action role-playing and outdoor activities - volleyball, badminton, bocce, and burning food over an open flame. The brave set up tents and camp after the game, the rest take the short drive back to their home or a nearby hotel and return the next day. No previous knowledge or experience is needed, just a willingness to have fun.

When: 4:00 PM Friday, July 16th to 2:00 PM July 18th. The interactive games begin around 7 PM on Friday and Saturday.

Where: Blue Stem campsite, Crow-Hassan park in Hennepin County near Rogers, MN.

Cost: $7 per player per game.

Event Descriptions

Friday: The Devil's Due

On the isle of Tortuga there are many secrets, perhaps the most sought after is the lost treasure of the infamous Pirate Mortimer Black. For over fifteen years his ship, The Devil's Due, was the most feared sight in the Caribbean, but that was years ago.

Much has changed since Mortimer's disappearance, but Tortuga is still home to native islanders, ambitious Europeans, and rapacious pirates - each with their own secrets and goals.

Play a pirate or landlubber and do your best survive, get rich, and achieve your goals.

This is a (somewhat) kid friendly game filled with pirates, combat, treasure, and scheming.

Players: 22+

Saturday: The Last Episode

Two years ago, something brought the Muppets to life! The Muppet Show continued, but behind the scenes changes were occurring… The whole world is still watching, and wondering what will become of these darling "living dolls".

Now, their show is ending! The unpopular Muppets are losing their life force, becoming inert again. Can you maintain your popularity while staying true to Jim Henson's dream? Will living Muppets become Americans, or declare independence? Will the Count become more popular than Edward or that other guy? Is it really an alien baby if a Muppet has one?

Lots and lots of laughs, with some plots to make you think. Existential or just funny voices, many kid-friendly characters.

Players: 18-27
